How do I find children's bilingual books or children's books in languages other than English?

Answer

Bilingual books for children in the SDSU collection are located in the juvenile collection on the fourth floor of the Love Library building. 

FIND CHILDREN'S BOOKS BY LANGUAGE 

  1. Go to juvenile books 

  2. On the left side of the screen, find the word Language and click on the ^ to see a list of all of the languages represented in the juvenile collection.

  3. Narrow the results  by checking the box next to the desired language(s) 

  4. Click APPLY FILTERS at the bottom of the screen.

FIND CHILDREN'S BOOKS IN SPANISH

  1. start at library.sdsu.edu

  2. In the red search box located in the center of the screen type, Spanish language juvenile

  3. Click the Search button.

  4. On the next screen, on the left side of the screen, look under the ACTIVE FILTERS column until you find the word Location. Click on the ^ next to Location and select Juvenile Collection from the list. 

  5. Click on Apply Filters.

  6. The results will be all of the children’s books in Spanish at the library. 

FIND BILINGUAL BOOKS 

  • start at library.sdsu.edu

  • In the red search box in the center of the screen, enter bilingual books juvenile

  • Click the Search button.

  • On the next screen, on the left side of the screen, look under the ACTIVE FILTERS column until you find the word Location. Click on the ^ next to Location and select Juvenile Collection from the list. 

  • Click on Apply Filters.

  • The results will be all of the bilingual children’s books in Spanish at the library.
