How do I print a poster for S3 (Student Symposium)?

Answer

The SDSU Library is happy to offer one free poster print for students participating in the SDSU S3 (Student Symposium).

To get started, prepare your file for print by verifying the poster dimensions (these need to match how big you want the poster to be) and save the file as a PDF.

This checklist will help you prepare your S³ poster for printing and avoid any delays.

Before you submit your file:

  • File format: Double-check that your poster is saved as a reduced size PDF.
  • Size it up: Make sure your poster is sized correctly at 56 W" x 42 L" for printing.
  • Final edits? Posters will be printed "As Is". Confirm that all editing on your poster is complete and the file is ready for print.

Additional considerations:

  • Reprints: Please note that reprints due to student errors or edits will incur a full charge. ($40)
  • Timely submission: To guarantee printing your poster in time for the symposium, submit your file well in advance. A high volume of last-minute submissions or reprints might cause delays. We cannot guarantee you will receive your poster in time should this be the case.

Next, bring the file to the 24/7 Study Area Service Desk to submit a request or submit an online print request here

You will receive an email when your poster is ready for pick up at the library's 24/7 Study Area Service Desk.
