What is microform? How can I access things on microform?
Answer
Microforms are scaled-down reproductions of documents, typically either films or paper, made for the purposes of transmission, storage, reading, and printing (Wikipedia entry). We have materials in both microfilm (stored on reels) and microfiche (flat sheets).
Our microforms are shelved in the Microforms Center/Microfiche, Room LA-74, which is in the basement of the Library Addition. We have 1 reader/scanner which can be used to view, and scan materials to PDF, jpeg, and other formats.
How to Access the Microforms Center:
The Microforms Center is currently closed to the public. Please contact the Research Desk to make an appointment to access the Microform Center.
