What is OneSearch and what's in it?

Answer

OneSearch is what we call a Discovery Layer- it's kind of like the Google for SDSU library materials. It includes the materials that were in the library catalog: books, DVDs, CDs, etc. as well as most of our databases, which means you can also find articles from peer-reviewed journals, newspapers, and other periodicals.

OneSearch is a great place to start your research, but you might also want to look at the research guide for your subject area for more specific library resources: https://libguides.sdsu.edu/?b=t

You can use the search box on the front page of the library homepage to search OneSearch, or directly at this link: https://libguides.sdsu.edu/csuonesearch

The OneSearch tool is meant to be comprehensive, but it does not contain everything in our collection. Some databases aren't in it like any of our EBSCO databases and neither are all of our digital SDSU collections, like the yearbooks.

Use the chat feature to get help searching OneSearch to find a book/article.
