How can I access newspapers?

Can I access the New York Times, San Diego Union-Tribune, or other newspapers?

Answer

The SDSU Library has online access to several newspapers through different databases. Since our licensed access is primarily for academic purposes, the user interface doesn't look like the newspaper's website, like latimes.com. Our content removes ads and has limited images. The library does not provide log-ins to newspaper websites, except for the New York Times.

Browse other Newspapers and older Editions

To find a newspaper, search for the newspaper name under the Journals link in the search box on https://library.sdsu.edu/ . You will then see a list of all of the holdings for that newspaper, including those that have online access.

If you can't find what you're looking for under the Journal Tab, please see the New & Newspapers research guide: https://libguides.sdsu.edu/newspapers
