The Red & Black Safe Ride Program is a service provided by CSOs (Community Service Officers) at our university to ensure safe transportation for students during designated hours.
When does the Red & Black Safe Ride Program operate?
The Red & Black Safe Ride Program operates on weekdays from 6 p.m. to midnight, offering two distinct services during different time frames.
What services are provided during the specified hours?
From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., CSOs drive two ADA shuttle vans on a continuous route, rotating in opposite directions to minimize wait times.
From 10 p.m. to midnight, riders can request an on-demand ride from one designated pick-up location to another through the SDSU Safe App.
Are there any restrictions or requirements for using the program?
Yes, the program does not operate during university holidays. Additionally, all riders must present their RedID when using the service.
