Student Feedback Surveys (Explorance Blue)

Explorance Blue is our newly-adopted Student Feedback Surveys system, formerly know as Course Evaluations or Faculty Evaluations.

Where and when can I give course or faculty feedback?

You will receive communication via email and Canvas at the end of each semester with details on how and when to submit a Student Feedback Survey for each of your current courses.  Surveys will be accessible via a link in a Canvas course or the email you receive announcing surveys are available.  If you miss the survey window you can always give course and/or faculty feedback directly to the associate dean of the course department.

For Fall 2022 the Student Feedback Survey window is December 13-December 20 at 11pm.  You will not see available surveys until Dec 13 and the surveys must be submitted by Dec 20 at 11pm.

How can I view all available surveys in Canvas?

To view a list of available surveys in Canvas click Account from the left navigation bar and then Student Feedback Surveys and the list of courses will appear.

Will the instructor know it is me?

Even though you must use your SDSUid to access a Student Feedback Survey, the survey itself will be anonymous.

Are surveys required to receive my grades?

Although Student Feedback Surveys are due before grades are posted, they are recommended but not required.  Students will receive grades when the instructor posts them or by the grade submission deadline.

Can I modify my answers?

After you complete a survey you will see a summary that will allow you to modify your responses.  You will be able to edit and save the survey until you are ready to submit, however, once you submit a survey you will no longer be able to edit or delete it.  You must submit a survey before the evaluation deadline for it to be accepted.

How do I know if I've already submitted my feedback survey?

When you click on the link to submit a Student Feedback Survey, either from email or Canvas, you will see a list of available surveys.  The list will reduce as you submit surveys for each course.  Once all surveys have been submitted you will see a notice that says “no tasks currently available check back later."

Do I need to use my computer to complete my surveys?

Explorance forms are responsive -- which means they are easy to complete on a cell phone or tablet. 

Can't find the email?

Please search your student email for the sendor sdsu_surveys@sdsu.edu.  If you can't find it and you are not able to use the Canvas links to the survey, please email sdsu_surveys@sdsu.edu for assistance.
