Q. Adobe Creative Cloud for Students

How do I get Adobe CC?

Please visit the Adobe download page for instructions on how to download and install Creative Cloud applications.

When will I get access to Adobe CC after purchase?

After purchase you will receive an "Access is granted" confirmation email from Adobe stating that you now have access to All Apps.  It can take up to 30 minutes to receive this email.  Once you receive the Adobe confirmation email you should be able to access Adobe CC.

Adobe Licensing Issues

If you are currently using a personal account for Adobe CC, such as the free version, then purchase the student subscription using your SDSUid, you should receive a confirmation email from Adobe. Once you receive the confirmation email, you must sign out of all personal Adobe CC apps then sign back in with your SDSUid for the new license to take effect. If you are prompted to use a personal or work account, use the work account. This should fix any licensing issues you might be having. The issues usually occur because you are logging into a personal account rather than an enterprise account.

Adobe CC purchased through Adobe not Kivuto

If you purchase Adobe CC directly from Adobe you will have to cancel your subscription to get a refund; you have 14 days to do this from the original purchase date.

How do I transfer Adobe CC assets?

If you would like to transfer your data or "assets" to another account you must do it manually.  Adobe provides a support article on How to Transfer Assets that explains the process.  Please contact Adobe if you need assistance with the transfer process.

How do I switch Adobe CC subscriptions?

You would need to contact Adobe directly for that information.  We can only help you purchase and install what is available to SDSU students.  We do not manage subscriptions.

I have an issue with my Adobe CC Kivuto purchase.  How do I get help?

Please contact Kivuto customer support for help with online purchases made using the OntheHub/Kivuto Online Store.  Log in to https://onthehub.sdsu.edu with your SDSUid and password.  Use the Contact Customer Support link found at the bottom of the Contact Us page.  The Contact Us page is located at the bottom of the Help page.

How can I get training in Adobe CC?

Adobe provides free online training resources at https://edex.adobe.com/.

Will Adobe charge me once my annual subscription is up?

We use our Webstore (Kivuto) to license our accounts and they expire student licenses after one year of purchase. They do not have the ability to auto-subscribe.  As long as you purchase Adobe CC through our Kivuto Webstore Adobe will not be able to charge you once your subscription expires.

How long after I graduate or stop attending will I have access to Adobe CC?

You will have access to Adobe CC as long as the subscription is current and your SDSUid is active.  Students who are graduating, your SDSUid, O365 account, SDSU G Suite, and all associated data will be deleted one year from graduation.  For all others (including credential/certificate programs) 90 days after the final day of the last enrolled semester.

Adobe provides a guide to graduates on how to migrate your content from your school account to a new personal account.  Graduates also have an opportunity to purchase Adobe CC for 40% off.
