How do I reset my SDSUid password?

Directions on how to reset an SDSUid password and who to contact for additional support.

Answer

Please reset your SDSUid password using the recovery options you set when you activated your SDSUid and Microsoft 365 account.  You are required to reset your SDSUid password once a year.

Use the Can’t access your account? link found below the Sign in button on the SDSUid/Microsoft 365 login page, which is https://portal.office.com. You must be signed out of your Microsoft 365 account for this option to appear.

Make sure you clear your browser's cache and/or use private browsing mode to avoid browser issues while resetting your SDSUid password.

If you are unable to use your recovery options to reset your SDSUid password, to ensure the security of all accounts, we must verify your identity before we can reset it for you.  We do that by having you hold a valid, physical, picture ID (no copies allowed) next to your face on camera during a Zoom session or in person.  If you would like to come in, we are located on the 2nd, or ground, floor of Love Library.  Enter Love Library through the South Entrance next to the CCCU Open Air Theater.

If you are not able to come in, we can start a Zoom session from chat.  Our chat service and current hours are available at https://library.sdsu.edu/technology

Once you have a valid password, if needed, you can reset your recovery options by following the directions found on the Manage My SDSUid page.

More information about your SDSUid and the services it provides can be found on the SDSUid information page.  Don't forget to check out the FAQ and Manage sections.
